Biography
Geert de Snoo studied Biology at the Free University Amsterdam. He did his PhD at the Leiden University (1995) concerning unsprayed field margins and the implications for biodiversity, environment and agricultural practice. Since 2003 he is endowed professor at Wageningen University in the field of Nature Conservation on Farmland. Since 2009 he is full professor at Leiden University in the field of Conservation Biology. He is also member of the Dutch Board for Authorisation of Plant Protection Products and Biocides (CTGB).
Research
The research interests of Geert de Snoo focus on:
- Nature and landscape conservation in rural areas
- Impacts of chemicals - such as pesticides - on biodiversity
